Considering the time of year, I bet you were expecting us to do a wrap-up of the best Super Bowl ads. Nah. Not this time! The fact that 23% of the ads on the biggest advertising weekend of the year were related to AI and tech - more than any other category (including beer!) - made the landscape a little boring in our opinion. Of course, the Dunkin’ ad was great.
And we all saw right through the Ring doorbell’s bringing home “lost dogs,” surveillance state ad.
But there’s so much more interesting work happening right now that we’re glossing over the traditional!
In fact, if you’re in the market for a doorbell cam, we kinda like the quick response from Wyze who produced and posted this video just two days after the Super Bowl!
Aaaaaaanyway …
It’s not news that our team is made up of a buncha’ nerds who take our nerd-dom seriously! So, Ikea Italy jumped out at us with their “DRÖNJÖNS & DRAGAN – The Swedish Manual of Names That Sound Good,” which they launched at Milan Games Week & Cartoomics late last year. Of course, it was inspired by a pretty well-known trend of Dungeons & Dragons players and fantasy writers flipping through Ikea catalogs to find names for names, places, or magical items.
IKEA only printed 2,000 of these, so you know that’s going to become a cool collectible in the years to come.

Closer to home, there are killer campaigns everywhere you look! This gem of competing billboards in Rawlin’s Cross speaks to two different audiences - those who want personalized, human service, and those who prefer a hands-off approach with customer control. What’s really surprising to us about this one is the willingness of Pattinson to place these side by side! Meanwhile, keep killing it Steers!

And this one isn’t new, but when it came out - coinciding with the opening of Taco Bell and epic drive-thru lines in Mount Pearl - we applauded the audacity and the timely reaction!
Speaking of plumbing, we want to thank Mr. Rooter for the permission to not be an expert in everything! We’re all about hiring the experts and not every job calls for a DIY - especially when it comes to water in the walls!
