speaks fOr itself
We Penguins are non-traditional. We incubate remarkable ideas in the wild; combining raw talent with adaptive skills for natural, outstanding campaigns.
When you want to tell a tall tale; take on the creatures in the depths of your industry; or navigate the murky waters of the internet; we’re the experts.
We’re building our portfolio help us show off the work we did for you!
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is an amazing opportunity for kids all over the world. It drives participants to accomplish and learn things outside of the classroom and further their education. We were asked to create an annual report that highlights the youthful energy of the award, while also making sure it felt professional, and easy to read.
We used bright colours, infographics, and lots of whitespace to achieve all these goals and it was a resounding success, impressing everyone involved.
Mile One is known for its events, concerts, and sports, however, it wasn’t well known as a place where all ages can get in some recreational skating. They requested a brand that would stand out and help push the experience.
Go Skate is a call-to-action, asking people to get out there, have some fun, and even get some exercise in. The icon, the surface of the rink carved up with skate marks, is the perfect representation of the fun of this great group activity. The star in the centre carries the Mile One branding into the logo, while the blue is mirrored in the text, which is tall, strong, and impactful.
mun harris centre vital signs 2018
For the last five years Vital Signs has been a deep dive into the statistical waters of what it means to live here in Newfoundland and Labrador. It’s eye-opening and is presented in an easily-digestible way, next to opinion pieces, and stories.
We knew we had to use charts, graphics, and infographics and, in the end, there would be more than 70 unique graphs and infographics throughout the 16-page document, dispersed among sections containing stories, photos, and opinions. The publication was sent house-to-house province-wide.
To say we were proud Penguins would be an understatement.
Payroll and tax compliance isn’t exactly a glamorous industry, but it’s absolutely necessary when you’re a business. So, when GET Payroll Solutions came to us looking for a new brand, we were excited to create something that really showed the importance of what they do and the guidance they give.
Just like GET Payroll Solutions, the stars in this logo are ever-constant, watchful, and pointing north through the wordmark, reminiscent to a growth pattern on a graph. We incorporated the Big Dipper - led by the largest North Star - creating a story that gives clients the chance to chart a course to success, and we were so proud to be a part of making it come to life.
jasOn piercey: influencer marketing
Jason Piercey is already a well-known name in real estate circles in Newfoundland and Labrador thanks to his forward-thinking online show The Ask Jason Show, but he wanted to be a household name for so much more.
Jason is also a business mentor, offering networking opportunities through his organization Level Up, a mental health advocate, producer and host of Out of the Fog on Rogers TV, and even runs a production company called Dare Media in partnership with the infamous Director Joe.
With so much going on, Jason needed to bring all those elements together in a brand to help grow his influencer marketing and speaking engagement opportunities. We were on board and with his new logo, Jason can proudly declare what he’s all about, and confidently build the future he’s always dreamed of.
Peppercorn Creative is a boutique copywriting and web design firm in British Columbia, who was looking to overhaul its entire business with the intention of reaching entirely new markets. We started with a complete brand audit, redesigned the logo and built a new, more grown-up brand, and then created a marketing plan to roll out the new look and feel of this company.
With the renewed purpose of Peppercorn - with a simple clean logo, a story to tell, and key messages to deliver to potential clients - this business is ready to improve our world, working with not-for-profits in the areas of environmentalism, sustainability, and inclusion.
2019 mOunt pearl frOsty festival
For nearly 40 years the Mount Pearl Frosty Festival has been the biggest winter community carnival in Atlantic Canada. We designed and executed complimentary marketing materials based on Frosty's existing brand elements, including social media images, billboards, programs, tent cards, and other printed and digital products.
We incorporated the popular Frosty character and plenty of wintery and thematic imagery to further convey the spirit of the festival and the many events. You’ll be seeing these and all Frosty designs roll out over the next few weeks in the lead up to the February festival.
whiteOak cOnstructiOn website

Explore St. Lawrence is a new tourism and business association based in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, and grew out of the town’s Historical Advisory Committee. The organization will fill the gap of having businesses on the south coast town represented in the tourism industry locally and internationally and focuses on growth and economic development.
The brand is subtle and perfectly highlights the sun crowning the hills of St. Lawrence’s coastline, while Explore is a call to action to discover this beautiful place and the people building it!
Extrapreneurs is an online (extrapreneurs.ca/episodes/) and television show about the issues and opportunities facing women business owners in Canada. The show tackles the big issues, provides how-to advice from industry leaders, and shares wellness information. But they needed to make a splash at tradeshows and market themselves at events, and we knew just the thing to help. These gorgeous banners tell the story of the show and feature host Ronalda Walsh, building brand recognition and interest. We’re really proud of how they turned out and are now helping the show prepare for the future.
